I suspect the recent flags raised in the local press are just the beginning of a long process. This is first time I've heard of a public objection to those units being there. Eureka is pretty sensitive to the blight along their recreated waterfront (the waterfront that never was) and I'm sure they wanted those locos out of there years ago. It's only been a couple of months. Give them a couple more years in Humboldt County time and see if anybody cares.
