I use an obscure operating system so it always comes up in lite mode when you click the map in a search result. There is no way to make it come up in full mode. So you have to:

1. Copy the location from the map location box.
2. Click "Lite Mode" at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click the "Use Maps With 3D" button on the page that comes up.
4. Paste the location in the location box of the Full Mode. It doesn't carry it over.
5. Click the search button.

Every #$%^&* time. And now you have three tabs open.

Lite Mode has no scale info and is missing many of the "Directions" options. It also prints weirdly.

But as others have said, the new version is also slow. I monitored my link speed and that is not the problem. It reminds me of the "eye candy" that kept being added to Windows, which was invisible as long as you kept buying faster and faster computers. And then at about 3 GHz they stopped getting faster and we ended up with Vista.
