BNSF/UPRR Mechanical...

Now and again en-route trains will suffer engine/train malfunctions, for what ever reason. They contact the disp with the issue, who then promises to contact "mechanical".

Eventually, "Fort Worth Mechanical" or "UP Mechanical" pops up on the radio to try to help solve the issue(s).

I guess the question is... how does a dude in Ft. Worth or Omaha contact a specific train 100's of miles away without tieing up the entire radio system?

Maybe not the clearest question, but...
