AFAIK no one has ever proposed 200mph at either the Tehachapi nor Tejon mountain crossing due to the need for assured stopping distance.

PB is responsible for this fiasco as they have repeatedly cooked the books on the route selection and have zero credibility consequently.

But of course instead of getting fired they get a new contract.

The residents are remiss as well; they could have supported a re-vote of Prop 1a.
