Please read my post more carefully.
I said, "Too bad. At least it is going to someplace that will use it and appreciate it."
It's too bad that yet another piece of GGRM equipment -- a piece that is in great shape and had many hours of volunteer labor dedicated towards it -- is being sold off or otherwise disposed of. However, I am glad -- as I stated -- that it will at least go to an organziation that will use it, take care of it and generally appreciate it, unlike a lot of GGRM equipment that was unceremoniously scrapped, sold to the lowest bidder or left to rot.
I have fond if fading memories of working on and riding in that caboose, and of actually using it as a caboose. Sometimes this stuff still stings a bit, you know?
