I'm in LA and didn't get to GGRM very often, but my perception was that they got way overextended with the amount of equipment. They had rolling stock deteriorating badly because they didn't have the resources to take care of it all. If they had focussed on the 'core' collection - stuff that complemented the 2472, which was their poster-child, the one piece that could get them a lot of support -- they would probably be in a much better position today. If they had restored a set of subs to go with 2472, that would have looked really nice. Instead, they let the window frames in all their subs rot out because nobody had the time to paint them. I donated a couple thousand bucks to that outfit, and when I went up and saw the mess, it pizzed me off.
