My primary interest in the Vegas connection is to get the casino moguls to pay for the subsidy and to kill off the backwoods Tehachapi route.

I still favor Tejon, I-5, Pacheco but Jerry is obdurate about the sainted Palmdale. So give him Palmdale and Vegas so long as Wynn and Adelson are willing to pay for it.
