The economy is sagging somewhat - but Wall Street still wants all the same money (and even more) - NOW.

Ergo, don't re-invest your record profits in your growing business - just pay the damn dividends.

Maintenance money is next.

Just take the money and run - who cares about tomorrow anyway!

Now what was this silly question about actually expanding the business to match demand? Of course, they are waiting for the guvment to do it all for them; while they just keep on pretending its all private property and collecting their maximized dividends paid for by the taxpayer.
