BNSF uses old Airslide hopper cars as buffers on their oil trains here in the PNW. They are stenciled as being assigned to this service, with new roster numbers as well.
As an aside, A major oil train unloading facility ( maybe U.S. Oil ??? ) in the Tacoma Tideflats is nearing completion, just in time for the oil train business to dry up.
