I believe the former NP line over Mullan Pass, on the Idaho / Montana border, is a Rails to Trails set - up, or at least a public use trail of some kind. It is mostly undeveloped as I recall, with detours ( shoo-flys ?? ) around the trestles that were taken out after the line was abandoned. I have seen parts of the R of W from Interstate 90; it appears to be driven on quite regularly. Perhaps Bruce Kelly can shed more light on this trail ???
