Oregon has a law that calls for a $5000 fine and/or a year in jail for anyone on tracks without permission. The only exception is the Tillamook line because it is the only access to the Salmonberry canyon and the slow speed and rarity of trains. At this time there are NO trains in the canyon because of the washouts. The law was first discusssed because of the trespassing deaths on the light rail lines but covers all lines under private property laws.
