Las Vegas

Any tourist friendly places to railfan in Sin City? How about hotels that are on, or close to, that have a good view of the tracks? Any suggestions? How many trains per day for May-June?

This will be my first trip to Vegas. Don't really know about the city besides the gambling and rolling billboards.
I also know enough to stay out of the North end. I have seen COPS on TV, and it's always filmed on the North side of town.
