Has a study (this seems to be all that is going on) been made of how the NWP would be accepted as a purely commuter oriented line ? I still maintain that economic reasons brought about the demise of the line and little has changed. Public perception of rail is based on the railroads history of not revealing the WHOLE story until after the fact. If the railroad of the past had been able to at least break even or the port was realistic possibility UP would be all over it today. Our horse has passed on ..... it is time to get out of the saddle and move on. Perhaps the Novato beople would enjoy a trip south to see how the SPRINTER works.
