1 airlines have fast boarding down pat, they direct the passengers on when, where and how to board.
ADA's, bicycle and business are in the wrong spot. A person with a walker take a long time to go 6 cars
2 Fare evaders. At an airport they never get to the gate.
Crews have to spend time removing. Or if police needed a long wait.
3 90 MPH. Well only on the downhill! Six cars and three hundred horsepower does not cut it on the roller coaster topography.
4 Dispatching. Not Amtrak friendly. Fastest switch 60MPH. On BNSF fastest is 50MPH.
Will route an Amtrak thru Norwalk on Main 1 because there is a Metrolink behind that makes stop and does not change route, causing Amtrak to go thru 2 unnecessary turnout at fifty causing train to only do 50 from Valley View to DT Jct.
will run early Metrolink in front of on time Amtrak.
If ten minutes late you are out of slot and will get later!
