"Perry's Pond", named after legendary rail photographer Otto Perry who made this location famous, is about 2/3 of the way up Cumbres Pass out of Chama, just below the old station of Coxo. The pond is actually backed up water from a plugged culvert under the railroad grade (obviously plugged for many years and not creating an issue for the RR).
