Have to admit I was part of their downfall. Leaving for work at 0600 or earlier meant that I would never see a morning paper - it was delivered, usually, around 0630-0700. For a while, I kept getting the Sunday rag for the funnies, but eventually those became available online and as the price went up my interest in the dead-tree version went down. These days, I mainly read a paper paper while sitting in a doctor's office or other waiting room.

We do get the local weekly, for directly relevant news that doesn't make it to the major outlets and for the coupons. It's not horribly expensive. Yes, I know I can get coupons online too but ... WinCo doesn't accept them (they only take actual newsprinted ones to minimize fraud)!
