Yes and no. The ex-SP GP38-2s that were modified for snow service are still in service during the winter, now painted for UP and numbered in the upper 500 and lower 600 series. These are the units that pull the flanges and spreaders.

The six-axle units that push the rotaries are regular freight pool units.

The three rotaries and their "snail" power units (converted from F7Bs) are still on the south side of the shop. They're not always visible from public viewing points.
