I was driving along the right of way on Friday and noticed that pannel track has been installed and ballasted crossing the first bridge west of Bernal (near Castlewood). Also that some roadbed prep is taking place between the bridge and end of track.

As for the area at Bernal, one could easly build a platform and walk way to downtown with little effort, the right of way is at least 100 feet wide in that area.

My opinion is that once the merchants experence the traffic generated from the full canyon operations of trains, an extension to the old Pleasanton station may be possible.
