I admit I don't know the dollars & cents involved in the economics on this line (as I have said before), but this is just another example of RailAmerica and their investors' piss-poor attitude about railroading. RA: Why don't you just get out the RR business? Railroading is about serving & keeping customers, maintaining a physical plant, along with making some money, but that's hard to do if you really have a long term committment & like railroading. I hope may tax money isn't headed there.
