It'll be interesting to see how it works. I can't see it really replacing whatever method of dispatching is used on a line. I'd guess that it must be tied into a real-time location plotter that can make a determination if an "undesired molecular interaction" is somehow possible based on location and speed and either sounds an alarm or makes whatever brake application it thinks is necessary. I know that the BN was pioneering that technology way back in the 80s. With handheld GPS now so available, it would seem that tying unique signals into a system that can monitor them would be fairly easy.
