And remember, "short haul" to/from the Rogue Valley is usually to the Bay Area, Sacramento region, Reno/Sparks, or Portland. Maybe even to LA or Seattle or Salt Lake. UP, as with most Class 1's, doesn't compete for loads that travel less than 400-500 miles.

Fred Fraily has a rant in this month's TRAINS regarding the Class 1's current problems with moving things, including loading/unloading intermodal.
