In your last photo, I recognize that road and terrain as being the scene of the opening of a WWII movie. I forget the name of the movie, but I believe Lee Marvin played in it as the an American unit commander. Two units were teamed-up together, one American and the other Canadian. It seems to me that the two units were a bunch of misfits that initially hated each other, but then fought together as brothers. Early in the movie, the Canadians were marching toward the camp, down that dirt road, to begin their training with the Americans. I know that the movie was filmed partially in Montana at Ft. Harrison.

Anyone else remember that movie?
