Pal Joey - train and ferry scenes

One of our old-movie channels had "Pal Joey" on last night. Scenes under the opening credits had a train arriving with "X4433" on the number boards (yes, it was that locomotive number too) in a large trainshed. I didn't recognize it as any current (or even recent) Bay Area station, but following along it might have been the Oakland Mole which was abandoned long before I started riding trains. Frank Sinatra headed for a stairway "To San Francisco" followed by a ferry leaving the Mole and several scenes (including the big "SP" sign prominently displayed mid-screen) crossing the Bay to the Ferry building. After that, of course, the action moved into other locations. But it was a good opening.
