The Oakland Mole had already been closed to passenger train use when the scenes were filmed there. ( Notice Sinatra's train was the only one in the train shed. This would have been impossible to do during the Mole's active days. ) The Mail trains continued to use the Mole for a while longer, until May 20, 1960.
More puzzling to me was the Espee ferry boat leaving The Mole. It must have been a movie charter, as regular ferry boat service between The Mole and San Francisco ended on July 29th, 1958.
