I am in Denver for, among other things, the annual UP Maintenance of Way surplus equipment auction. Thought maybe if any of you were in the area it might be an interesting way to waste some time. Most anything you might need is brought in from all over the UP system where it is either rebuilt in the huge shop across the street or sold at the auction.

Most of you really don't need a tamper or speed swing, but there are often speeders and other collectible goodies some with D&RGW and SP markings.

Take I-70 west to the Pecos Street exit, go about a mile to the double track crossing and the sale site is on the right just past the tracks.

You don't need to register to attend; Blackmon Auctions puts it on and it starts at 9:00 sharp!
