In Support of Mike, I get the feeling that the Board of Supervisors of Marin appointed Bernie Meyers and Tom McDonald to act as stumbling blocks and to undermind instead of being constructive on any progress that the NCRA can make. Why Marin County conducts them selves in this way makes you wonder....Do they want to build a wall around Marin county and not be part of the state and local forward progress....And when these lawsuits come forward, Judges can review and throw them out, but so far they haven't...Makes you wonder if some one owes some one and is paying them back....This could go on for years.
If the rail line ever gets into Larkspur, a lot of money will change hands in the area as commuters will stop to have a cup of coffee, lunch or a late dinner and may spend some money in the local stores before going home or going to work...
As for freight trains running thru Novato, as Mike said, they have been running thru there before for years and when they begun again, every body will get use to it and life will go on...
