The WP's interest in the Mole was in getting its passengers to San Francisco. After the ferries quit in July 1958, the WP switched to busses that took passengers from SF to the WP's "Launching Pad" near the WP yard on Middle Harbor Road. Oakland Passengers loaded at the 3rd & Washington station.
