Embargos have a time period of one year. As the rules stand right now CORP could extend the embargo for the second year giving a dozen reasons why. Then after September 21, 2009 they could file for abandonment of the Coos Bay Branch from the point of the first tunnel to Coquille. However the STB has put a fire under their tail asking why the current embargo is not an illegal abandonment. We will have to see how they answer the STB by May 12th.
