SP's latest units were bought (leased actually) before there was any talk of merger, so they all had to be renumbered.

Last time I checked, there were about 45 SP's left not patched, and about 350 patched but still red, gray, grafitti and rust. There are still about 2 dozen Cotton Belts still running around sans patches, too.

At the glacial pace UP is repainting these things, they will be with us another 5 or 10 years.
