Actually, the irony of the NWP is that much of it really isn't in bad shape or would it ever be
but it's connected by some of the most unstable geography around. There was a French engineer
specializing in horizontal stabilizing of unstable slopes who said that all of the line could be
made useable though as has been mentioned before, at great cost.
