It was there for display purposes only; contrary to what has been posted on another board, there are no plans to have RailRunner service to/from Las Cruces or anywhere else in southern New Mexico (some groups are floating a proposal for passenger train service from Denver or Cheyenne to El Paso, but that won't happen unless jet fuel costs make flying too expensive for most folks; the entire line from Belen to El Paso is jointed rail and dark territory with trains restricted to 49 MPH, so it'd take some work to make the line suitable for passenger service).
