I would like to see a chain gang out doing work on the tracks... that would be funny. Will they have black and white or orange coveralls on?
Yeah, the state should take it and they they can have the P&W run it. They do such a good job up north that it should only take them a couple years to get the line all fixed up and start getting new customers.
I don't know how they do it, but the guys running the P&W must be really smart because they seem to do EVERYTHING right! The employees don't seem to do too much @#$%& about things, they are always upgrading tracks and getting new business. They are like a model of what a short line should and can be.
If they get the CORP they would cover all of Oregon from the Columbia to the border, to the coast at Astoria, Newport, and Coos Bay (maybe they can operate the POTB for the Port as well). That would be so neat to see, would that make them the biggest shortline in America?
Can't wait for it to happen. Get the CORP Out of here, get the disaster over with and start moving trains, and bring on the Orange Locomotives and jail Crews!
