So is what's wrong with shipping it by rail ? One grain car is equal to 4 to 5 trucks. Take them off the highway and wow you cut cost. Oh, and they, the shipper pays to move it away. Not a bad plan. Take those 4 to 5 trucks off the road, even better. Less fuel being used, Even better yet. Rail movement of goods is the MOST COST effective way to move goods. Period. Why do you think rail shipments are utilized as much as they are? Trucks cost more money and train shipments can move more goods at less cost to the shipper.
Most everything that is in stores tommorrow is moved from trucks to trains to trucks again.
