Brazil SD-40-2 question

Enjoyed the prior video posted here with the SD-40's down in Brazil (and the numerous other videos linked to it.) Any idea how much of a horsepower hit they take when they convert the units to narrow gauge? I would assume there would have to be a loss of capacity of some sort with smaller motors. I also noticed that Brazil seems to be where all the nice Nathan P-3 horns have gone as well.
