Heck, my aunt about 2 decades ago bought a house next to railway tracks (SC&MB) and knew they were active. In fact she don't mind trains since her brother worked for BNSF in another state.

The house next to her is on the market and we both told the realtor to inform any lookers that there is an active tracks behind the house that could have up to 60 commuter trains at some point and gave him links to the Railway and RTC websites.

One day we were working in her backyard when the famous 89 Engine came by. It was so hideous that my aunt needed her eyes fixed! LoL I thought it had character!
