A Muni Geary subway could cross Stockton inbound on top of the Central Stubway tunnel and cross Market St. at the mezzanine level. That was the plan when 3rd & Kearny was the favored route for the T extension north. A vastly superior route, but the current construction does now leave the original Market St. crossing available.

I would suggest a trolley bus subway on Geary from Laguna inbound as a riposte to the Geary merchants' perennial @#$%& about losing parking spaces to streetcars in the median. As it is I consider the BRT scheme in the median on outer Geary very dangerous without pedestrian overpasses. Little old ladies will go madly dashing for the bus in the center of that wide street and get run over. The curb stops are safer and then how can you have an express bus if it has to run in the median with only one lane in each direction?

Don't call it Frisco; call it San Franhattan. That's why Muni lost to BART.
