Are you kidding me? Fence the RR? Just a few trains a day? BNSF just added a third main through there! Amtrak, The Sounder Commuter trains and all the increased BN traffic!
People need to stay off the tracks. Walking on the tracks on a cell phone is just begging to get hit. I realize allot of the folks here are just interested in trains. But, when you work here, and I worked that stretch for 4 years, you really cant run a RR on the political correctness, touchy feely wine and croissant crowd way of life.
It is too bad that someone has to die. But its no different than getting on the freeway the wrong direction, skiing out of bounds, crossing the bar when its too rough, or any other thing that you know you shouldnt do, and do it anyway. There is a price to be paid for poor choices.
As said above, its too bad for the train crew, emergency personell and families that have to pick up the pieces. Literal and figurative.
