62 years ago, you could buy a haircut aboard the SP 2981 as you rode the City of San Francisco over Donner Pass. For a very limited time - Feb. 26 and March 1, 2016 aboard the Reno Fun Train and the Sierra Scenic Train - the 2981 will again transverse Donner and there will be a barber aboard offering ... you guessed it ... the tonsorial arts at speed. Relive history the civilized railway aboard the former SP 2981 (Overland Trail). Must purchase Fun Train ticket from Key Holidays in Walnut Creek. Barber's charge additional.
