While I was working in Eureka a few years ago, There was a couple of guys that had a small crane and a front end loader with rail equipment. They were selling some of the flatcars in Eureka for bridges. I watched them load one of them up on a truck with this crane that was way too small for the job. I saw this same equipment down in Fortuna also. There was also some environmental contractor that came in and cleaned up the Eureka yard, they also drained the fuel tanks on the motive power there. While driving around the area, I also saw several cars in various locations that were rotting away.
