I remember the blackberry bushes getting cut down by BNSF folks. Glad I didn't have to do it. I guess in the summer time those bushes were full of rattle snakes. Brother worked for a company that hired to repair some machines they were using on the project, BNSF guys were really upbeat about it all, then really bummed out when it was shut down. Several applied with MRL when they were showing interest as they wanted to stay in the area. (I think MRL's proposal for 5 trains was total in both directions if I recall correctly.) My Brother said that those blackberry bushes got tangled in the BNSF machines something terrible, yet all the thorns managed to survive unbroken--he found them.
