Back in the 60's Dixie brewery in New Orleans used to order plain boxcars from SP for their beer shipments, claimed that was all that would fit the spacing of their loading doors. About half the beer would make it to desitinations like Austin intact, but Dixie didn't care whether the distributor or the railroad paid for it.
