The La Quinta Roger mentioned at 3808 N. Sullivan may be your nicest option close to the Funnel in Spo/CdA area. Along the UP, there's a couple of newer hotels on East Indiana (off the Sullivan Road exit from I-90), and the Howard Johnson's Post Falls off the Pleasant View exit in Post Falls. The HoJo's is right across from a Flying J truck stop, but if you get a room on the north side of the building, you'll be away from the noise and have a view of the UP about a third of a mile away. Some better trackside motel/hotel options up in Sandpoint, if you're willing to be that far north. Go to Google Maps and do a search for motels or hotels; you'll find just what you want, just where you want it.
