As for the DPU operations, that has been going on for many months now, maybe even close to a year. I am pretty sure the DPU's are added at Portland. I haven't seen any northbound trains with DPU's, but then again northbound tonnage is less than the southbound tonnage. The DPU's reportedly make operations more efficient.

The landslide did cause for some changes in operations, with some detours up the BN Oregon Trunk Line and others via Salt Lake. I think most everything is back to being close to normal, depending on the work windows at the slide.

As for the $5.04 diesel, tell me about it. On Wednesday I saw diesel for $4.75 a gallon and by waiting until Thursday, I was able to pay $4.89. On Thursday afternoon I saw diesel up in Redding for $5.08 per gallon.
