Stating specific locations on posts

On another site someone legitimately requested that people posting make it clear where they are posting from or about, and I think it is a most reasonable request. As someone just said below, there are Richmonds in many states. So which state are we talking about? Fair enough, and I know I have been guilty of not being specific all the time. Yes, the owner of this site and the other one are both here in California but the participants on these sites are not all Californians.
