The Pacific Electric ran the last regular cars through the Belmont Tunnel (Subway) on June 19, 1955 in the morning hours. The movie with Dana Andrews was filmed shortly after regular operations had ceased. Before the line was abandoned and torn up, this movie was made. But it wasn't released until the following year (1956). Hope this answers your question.
