Railroad phone booths

Way back in the day I fondly recall the conductor on the UP Oly Turn using the telephone in the metal phone booth at East Olympia to call the dispatcher for permission to enter the main line. I still see these phone booths along the right of way. East Olympia, Titlow, Napavine. Are they still hooked up and if so does anyone use them anymore?
