Late as she might be, and the unintenional emergency application of the brakes (those old brake valves are tricky, and that big notch, is why they call it "big hole") didn't speed us up any.

It was a great trip! A special thanks goes out to the sponsoring organizations SBRHS and Central Coast Railway Club, their volunteers, their supporters, the train crews, and out car 'attendents" who did a wonderful job in making this a great experience for all on and off the train.

A special thanks to all of the public agencies and their staff, Sheriff's and CHP, the Fire Departments who helped quench 3751's thirst, Metrolink, Coaster, Amtrak, and to BNSF. They all helped make this a safe and fun experience.

If anything this trip ended too soon. It was a beautiful day of travel, history, meeting old friends, making new friends, and just great railroading. Let's do it again next year for the 70th anniversary of Union Station, and the 140th anniversary of the Golden Spike.

Best to all who experienced this wonderful event.
