I can't understand why TriMet would have built their schedule that way, given that TriMet goes to GREAT extents to minimize layover time for its own Operators.
It takes 27 minutes to get from Beaverton to Wilsonville or vice-versa; that means a train hass only three minutes at the end of the trip to "reverse direction" and go. I can't possibly see it taking longer than that.
Instead, TriMet schedules the trips so that after the end of a 27 minute northbound run the Operators get 10 minutes before returning to Wilsonville, where they are then rewarded with 36 minutes off.
I can only wish that at my work, I got 46 minutes off for every 54 minutes that I actually worked.
