Jeff,
I'm sure you're right on the Long-Bell line. In looking at the map whatever crossed the WP would
have been too far south. Also, I'm not sure if I still have that Atlas but if I find it I'll get
you a page copy. I always thought that the line was like the 3 foot gauge line east of Camino and
south of US 50 that existed for a couple years. That line was built by Dillingham Construction
in the 1980's to carry overburden from a tunnel they were digging some three miles to a dump point. The line shown on the Thomas map most probably was some trackage built for a PG&E project
which for some reason ended up on a map.
