Washington Park & Zoo Railway

On June 14, 2008 the Oregon Zoo, Portland OR, will be celebrating the golden anniversary of the Washington Park & Zoo Railway. Festivities will include all trains running including the Oregon steam locomotive as well as back shop tours. The WP&Z Railway began operations as the Portland Zoo Railway on June 9, 1958. (next year is the steam locomotive Oregon's 50th)

Come by for a visit and pick up a special commerative issue of the Trainmaster newsletter published by the Pacific Northwest Chapter, National Railway Historical Society and printed by the Oregon Zoo.
